Meet Our Team

Matt McCarville, Executive Director - Matt is passionate about atmosphere, energy, environment and resource related issues! He began on a part-time basis with the PEI Environmental Network (PEIEN) in May 2011 to enhance member services. In September, 2011 he took on the Executive Director's part-time role. Prior he worked with one of the PEIEN's members, the Environmental Coalition of PEI, on both the Macphail Woods Ecological Forestry and ECO-PEI Energy Projects. Matthew brings some additional public engagement experience since working with the PEI BioAlliance and he has experience in project management, administration, research, analysis and overall communications. Mr. McCarville holds a degree in Business Administration specializing in economics from UPEI.

Andrew Gardham, former Director and Coordinator - Andrew recently left his position with the PEIEN to pursue other career interests and opportunities. He provided a significant positive contribution to the Network through the delivery of several successful events and workshops and the development of new tools and resources that continue helping member organizations. He integrated the PEI Environmental Network's communications efforts on social networks like Facebook and Twitter, which have more than 700 subscribers and followers.

Susan Hawkins, former Executive Director - Susan left her position with the PEIEN in 2010 to pursue other career interests and opportunities. Susan was responsible for developing the Network and managing daily operations of the PEI Eco-Net for several years. Susan worked with countless volunteers to develop the office's Resource Library, and worked with other groups such as the students at Holland College who designed and developed this website! Her ongoing commitment and dedication to the Network's Steering Committee provides the organization with a wealth of experience, sound advice, direction and continuity.

Sarah Hoyles, Volunteer E-News Editor
- created the E-News publication of news and events from the Network, a publication that has become subscribed to by hundreds of engaged readers.
